Cheap books at Aotea Square markets

05.23.08 | Richard Irvine | 1 Comment

Would you like to buy good books for not much cash? Get yourself down to the Aotea Square market on Fridays and Saturdays, and visit Lily’s book stall while waiting for your Masala Dosa.

She has all kinds of modern lit, classics, poetry, foreign language books and non-fiction, and it’s all reasonably priced. I just scored Final Cut, the story of the Heaven’s Gate debacle – five bucks. Hunter S Thompson’s bio Kingdom Of Fear – five bucks.  Graham Greene novel – five bucks. Can you see a pattern emerging? Get in there, Lily says she has new books every week.
